after hiding some shading layers on a finished piece I realized I actually REALLY like the look of my art with flat colors and colored linework - I'll still shade/light whenever I feel the desire to because it's fun but damn this will be great for quicker and more fun pieces, like all these ones of my monk Kiri that stayed as sketches for ages because I didn't have the spoons to do a full color job. And, now, I do!

Ryoko Kui draws fat people with tenderness, honesty, and dignity in a way I've never seen before from other manga and anime. She's not afraid to draw people like me the way I look with the same care and respect she does all her characters.
